| – Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science Documentation with at least 55% marks and consistently good academic record. | – M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/Archives and Manuscript Keeping. |
| – Minimum 13 years’ experience as Deputy Librarian in a university library or any other library statutory organization, or minimum 18 years’ experience as College Librarian. | |
| – Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work. | |
| – Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities. | |
| – Experience in using computational tools, databases, web applications, and technology-based library information systems. | |
| – Ability to interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. |
