Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven-point scale. A consistently good academic record is required.
Essential Experience:
- Holding an analogous post or
- At least 10 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in the library of a technical university, educational institute of national importance, or another large technical library, with at least 3 years spent in PB-4 (₹37,400 – ₹67,000) with Grade Pay of ₹8,700/- or an equivalent post.
- Experience in innovative library services and commitment to the computerization of libraries, supported by evidence.
Desirable:
- Higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or a related discipline.
