Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Sciences
- Operational knowledge of Library
- Knowledge of Koha, DSpace, and advanced ICT skills
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree/PG Diploma in Computer and IT with programming skills
Desirable:
- Preference for professionals with expertise in Koha and DSpace
- Willingness to manage Library software and ICT-related works at NU LIRC
Job Description:
- Develop Digital Repository System using Open Access Software like DSpace and Greenstone Digital Library
- Cataloguing of digital assets in the Digital Repository System
- Manage Koha OPAC webpage (Intranet – Internal users)
- Add/integrate trending tools like Google Analytics, usage counter, altmetrics with Koha OPAC webpage
- Manage Library Management Software (Koha)
- Upgrade Library Management Software (Koha) – Automatic reminders/information (due date, issue, and return of books)
- Innovate using ICT trending tools such as user footfalls integration with Library Management Software (Tool), QR code, library app, etc.
- Handle National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) and INFLIBNET initiative
- Provide information services (AIS, CAS, and CCS)
- Circulate books (issue and return) in the absence of staff
- Book accession, PPTs, and Excel-related works
- Perform tasks assigned by LIRC In-charge
