Position: Full-time, Contractual (Fixed term of three years, including a six-month probationary period)
Salary: Pay Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500)

Age Limit: Not more than 50 years as of 06 September 2024 (Age limit not applicable to current MP-IDSA employees)
Educational Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent from a recognized university/institute.
- Proficiency in MS Office and library software.
- Desirable:
- PhD/MPhil Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation from a recognized university/institute.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in a managerial capacity in a recognized university library/institution of higher learning/library of a reputed research organization.
- Expertise in advanced library management software and hybrid library management, with extensive knowledge of electronic resources, databases, and modern information tools.
- Experience in providing top-grade research-oriented library services.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines.
- A strong team player with collaborative skills.
Role:
To manage and organise one of India’s finest research libraries, maintaining a balance between print and digital formats.
Documents Required:
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written/skill test and interview at MP-IDSA, Delhi.
- Original certificates supporting education, age eligibility, and category (if applicable) must be produced at the time of the interview.
- Shortlisted outstation candidates will be reimbursed AC-III tier rail fare on production of tickets by the shortest route.
