Position: Library Professional Assistant
Number of Posts: 2 (Two)
Mode of Selection: Written Test / Interview or both
Salary: Approx. Rs. 22,412/- (including EPF) per month

Essential Qualifications
- Educational Qualification:
- Any Bachelor’s Degree (Preference given to Bachelors in Science)
- Masters in Library & Information Science (MLISc) or equivalent
- Consistent good academic and conduct record

Experience:
- Sound working knowledge in IT & digital applications in libraries
- Two years working experience in a fully automated library, preferably with “Koha” and “Dspace”
- Good communication skills in English (writing and speaking)

Additional Preference:
- Candidates with Graduation or Post-graduation in Computer Science along with MLISc are preferred and exempted from one year of experience.
Job Conditions
- Duty Requirements:
- Attend duty round the clock in three shifts during six days a week, including holidays/Sundays.
- Willingness to work in night shifts is essential as the IISER Mohali Library operates 24/7.
- Accommodation: Not provided by the company.
Nature of Job
- Work in different sections of the library
- Learn/manage modern library management systems
- Handle digital technologies, web-based systems/services, emerging IT tools, and technologies
