Essential Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/Archives and Manuscript keeping, including relevant basic sciences.
- 10 years of experience in the relevant subject, out of which at least 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs.15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/ Rs.6,000/ Rs.7,000/ Rs.8,000/ or equivalent remuneration, whichever is applicable.
- 2 years as Senior Scientist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-4 of Rs.37,400-67,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/ Rs.9,000/ or equivalent remuneration, whichever is applicable.
- The candidate should have made contributions to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.
Desirable: Experience in the Management of Library Resources, including ICT, Acquisition of Books and Periodicals, Managing Library Staff and Administration.
